MLS Playoffs Best Bets

The MLS Playoffs Best Bets

Another week goes by, and while we've shared many exhilarating moments and updates on various games, this week promises something even more thrilling. Brace yourselves, as it’s that time of the year again: the MLS Playoffs. Now, let’s dive into our best bets

10/18 Inter Miami vs FC Charlotte: +260 for Draw (Defensive Duel)

🧬 Why we’re going for the draw

With this probably being the last game of the season before the playoffs, Messi will once again be absent, and neither will 3 Charlotte players as they’ve been called up for their National Team. The most noteworthy being Karol Swiderski. Given the above, attacking threat from both teams isn’t much to worry about and both teams have had a tough time scoring

10/21 Montreal Impact vs Columbus Crew: -250 for Columbus (No Underdog Story Here)

🔥 Why Columbus Will Win

At 11-4-1 at home, this should be an easy win for them. In addition to these factors, the Crew also have a number of talented players who can make the difference in the match. Lucas Zelarayán is one of the best attacking midfielders in MLS, and he is always a threat to score or create goals for his teammates. Cucho Hernández is a proven scorer, with 15 goals in 26 matches.

10/21 Atlanta United vs FC Cincinnati: -139 for Cincinnati (Keeping the Good Times Rolling)

🚀Cincinnati Looking Up

Behind Luciano Acosta, one of the best attacking midfielders in the league, Cincinnati is a better team who will be top notch at home. Enough said.

10/21 Chicago Fire vs New York City: -139 for NYC (Win In the Big Apple)

🧬 Key Traits of Both Teams

Likely a defensive struggle, we’ll be looking at Carlos Coronel as the underestimated goalkeeper. We’ll take the Red Bull Team.

10/21 Philadelphia Union vs New England Revolution: +101 for New England (Power at Home)

🔥New England’s Record at home

The Revolution’s 11-4-1 record at home will give them the edge for this upcoming battle. Alejandro Bedoya although is a legend of his own with the Union so we should give them more credit than Caesar’s +230 odds for a win.

10/21 Orlando City vs Toronto FC: +280 for Draw (Tight Matchup)

🧬 Key Traits of Both Teams

Toronto and Orlando City have played each other twice this season, and both times the result was a draw. The first match was 1-1 on May, and the second match was 4-4 on September.

Toronto and Orlando City have similar offensive and defensive records this season. Toronto has scored 26 goals and conceded 57, while Orlando has scored 53 goals and conceded 39. Both teams average around 1.5 goals per game.

10/21 Colorado Rapids vs Real Salt Lake: +145 for Real Salt Lake (Real Salt Lake)

🔥← this is for the Rapids

Poor performances, injuries, and off-field issues. They have scored only 26 goals and conceded 57, which is the worst goal difference in the league3. They have also lost their star striker Rafael Navarro, who scored his first goal for the club on October 14. Unfortunately, suffered a season-ending injury in the same game. This is a year Colorado needs to forget and move on.

10/21 - FC Dallas vs LA Galaxy +250 for Draw (Drawing it Out)

✏️ The Matchup Here

Dallas tends to do pretty well against LA Galaxy, with their last 3 matches resulting in victories. Couple that with the high number of injuries LA is dealing with and one might assume Dallas to win is the right pick. However, we’re going with a Draw on this one. Galaxy put up a tough fight against 5th (in Western Conference) Salt Lake and Dallas typically struggles when playing Away.

10/21 - Houston Dynamo vs Portland Timbers: +240 for Draw (Home field advantage & injuries)

🏠Rooting for the Home Team

Portland is known for having one of the most electric home stadium environments. The fact that this is a playoff game will only amplify that. However, they’re dealing with a ton of injuries and struggled to find their footing against 8th place Montreal last week. It’ll be a close game with tons of goals (we suggest taking over 1.5 goals here) However, we’re taking a Draw here given how close these two teams are in attacking prowess

10/21 Seattle Sounders FC vs Saint Louis City +250 for Draw (Very Thin Draw)

🔥 Both Teams’ Form

Both teams have dynamic attacks, but also strong backlines and good goalkeeping1. Seattle ranks 2nd in save percentage while St. Louis sits 10th1. St. Louis has the 2nd-most interceptions as well.

🧬 Cristian Roldan

Roldan’s presence on the field is unmatched. Seattle might come out on top as Roldan returns to his form, and he has been showing that with his 90 matches.

10/21 Austin FC vs San Jose Earthquakes -175 for San Jose Earthquakes (Ground Shaking)

🧬 Easy Win

Playing at home, even without JT Marcinkowski the Earthquakes should win this. As for the next game with their goalkeeper out for season with a severe knee injury, that remains in question.

10/22 Sporting FC vs Minnesota United: +120 for Sporting FC (Winning in the Twin Cities)

🔥 United’s Number

Sporting FC has won recent matchups and seems as if the mismatch is starting to become evident that they can beat the odds and pull the upset.

10/23 Los Angeles FC vs Vancouver Whitecaps: +165 for Los Angeles (Another Upset)

🔥 Recent Performance

Los Angeles FC, with its star-studded lineup, remains a dominant force in the league.

🧬 Key Traits of Both Teams

Creative Midfielders: Both LAFC and Vancouver have midfield maestros who can swiftly change the game's dynamic.

Counter-Attacking Threat: With swift players upfront, Los Angeles can turn defense into attack in a matter of seconds.
